Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-05-02
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of TrueNAS Pulse (the “App”), an independent third-party iOS application developed by Christophe Cornelis (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. The App
TrueNAS Pulse is an iOS client for TrueNAS SCALE servers. By default, the App connects directly to TrueNAS servers that you configure. If you explicitly enable Cloud Push Relay for background alert notifications, limited alert summary data may be routed through the relay only for notification delivery. API tokens, credentials, passwords, and secrets are never sent to the relay.
2. Independent third-party application
The App is an independent third-party application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by iXsystems, Inc. TrueNAS® is a registered trademark of iXsystems, Inc.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The TrueNAS server(s) you connect the App to.
- The credentials and API keys you generate on those servers.
- The actions you initiate from the App, including service start/stop, reboot, shutdown, and configuration changes (Pro features).
4. Pro purchases
The TrueNAS Pulse Pro tier is a one-time, lifetime in-app purchase with no subscription, no recurring charges, and no expiry. Purchases are processed by Apple under the standard App Store terms; refunds are governed by Apple’s refund policy.
5. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source from the App beyond what local law allows.
- Use the App to attempt unauthorised access to TrueNAS servers you do not own or have explicit permission to administer.
- Resell or redistribute the App or any of its content.
6. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do our best to ensure the App is reliable, safe, and respectful of your data, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including data loss caused by user-initiated control actions.
8. Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, the change will be summarised here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
